Most Experienced FSU Basketball Team

FSU Basketball is peaking at the absolute perfect time. It is beautiful to see this experienced team start catching their stride and really showing signs of the team that had that amazing run to the Elite Eight last year. I remember watching that game at Madison Social and screaming my fucking lungs out because we were just minutes away from making it to the Final Four. Stupid Michigan. Forget about last year. It’s the 2018-2019 season and I have all the confidence that this team is ready to make another big run during March Madness.

This is coming from the guy that has season tickets for basketball and has attended nearly every home game this season (blame Capital City Bank). I’m writing this moments after our huge 80-62 road win over Syracuse at the Carrier Dome. That is a place that we haven’t won since 1997. I was ten years old. Holy shit. This is our fourth straight win after beating Clemson, Miami and Georgia Tech. This team looks completely different from the team that started 1-4 in the ACC. Fast-forward two weeks and we are now 5-4 in the ACC and playing with all the confidence in the world.

This is one of the most experienced teams I can remember at FSU. Mann and Forest aren’t going to put up 20 points a game but are consistent players that are going to be your leaders. Factor in Cofer can play any position and you mix in one of the deepest benches in the country with the beast MIFONDU KABENGELE who we better enjoy because we know he is going pro after this season. This is one of the most unselfish teams you will ever see…sometimes too unselfish. They play for pride and they play for the guy next to them. I could go one for days talking about this team.

FSU has nine games left this season and as we sit here with a 17-5 record, I think we have no problem going to the NCAA tournament minus a complete fucking meltdown. We win nine games in the ACC that should make us a lock. I’m also going to say a bold statement. The Tuck is by far one of the toughest places to place in the country. We are 44-3 in our last 47 home games. Even thought we lost to those bitches from Duke, the energy that day in The Tuck was incredible. That was by far the loudest I’ve ever heard that arena and I have been going to these games for many years.

Don’t sleep on this Florida State team as March is quickly approaching. We will be dancing soon enough and as that damn Dick Vitale loves to say….ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! IT”S UNBELIEVABLE!!!. Boo Vitale. GO NOLES!!
