A family of four sits down a restaurant. This seems like a normal situation. When I was a kid, going to dinner was our family bonding time. We would talk about our week, the food we were ordering and other things like the atmosphere of the restaurant. Times have certainly changed.
It now seems normal to see a family of four sit down at a restaurant and immediately break out the phones and the iPads. In this age of technology, none of these should be present at the dinner table, especially if you are at a restaurant. You are more likely ignoring and not paying attention to your family and it is extremely rude to the server who feels awkward trying to talk to you when you have your face glued to a screen.
This should be a special time for your family and if your faces are all in little LCD screens, you’re gonna miss out on that special moment along with many other moments in their lives. It might not seem like that big of a deal but family time is something that is special and should not be taken for granted. So when you go to restaurants, do everyone a favor and put technology down and make dinner great again!
