Divisional Weekend 2024: More Upsets on the Way?

Wildcard Weekend gave us plenty of blowouts and a couple surprises. We got the first 7 seed advancing to the divisional round as well as the Texans dominating the Browns. Two games on Saturday and two on Sunday will determine our conference championship games. I have a feeling that the upsets aren't done yet. A quick prediction of the matchups for this weekend.

Houston Texans @ Baltimore Ravens (Saturday 4:30 p.m. on ESPN)

We begin the weekend with the top seed in the AFC hosting the surprise team in the AFC. These two teams met back in Week 1 with the Ravens winning comfortably 25-9. I do hate to say it but the Texans look much better now. Lamar vs CJ should be a fun matchup to watch. I think the Texans hang around but Lamar and the Ravens are too much. Ravens win 35-24.

Crew Picks:

Ravens: Chris/Chase/Kevin/Jason

Green Bay Packers @ San Francisco 49ers (Saturday 8:15 p.m. on FOX)

Primetime for another showdown between these two rivals. 2/5 of the podcast is hyped as the Packers run continues. A popular quote I have heard is "playing with house money." These two meet again for the second straight year in the divisional round. The 49ers won that matchup 13-10 and the Packers are looking for revenge. Packers lead the all-time series and I love my boys but I think their season ends here. 49ers win 20-17.

Crew Picks:

Packers: Jason/Kevin 49ers: Chris/Chase

Tampa Bay Bucs @ Detroit Lions (Sunday 3:00 p.m. on NBC)

Can the Lions continue their magical run? After winning their first playoff game in forever, they host the Bucs who just eliminated the reigning NFC champion Eagles. These two met during the regular season and the Lions won that matchup 20-6. I'm going upset on this one as I think the Bucs somehow get it done and advance to the NFC Championship and shock the Lions. Bucs win 31-24.

Crew Picks:

Bucs: Chris/Jason Lions: Chase/Kevin

Kansas City Chiefs @ Buffalo Bills (Sunday 6:30 p.m. on CBS)

The next chapter of this AFC rivalry. These two met back in 2022 in the divisional round and the Chiefs won that classic game in OT. The Bills have won the last two meetings during the regular season and some argue that the Bills are the hottest team in the league right now. The Bills Mafia will be coming out strong for this one but as much as I hate to do it I'm picking the Chiefs to advance to yet another AFC title game. Chiefs win 34-31.

Crew Picks:

Chiefs: Chris/Chase/Kevin Bills: Jason

I have picked the Ravens, 49ers, Bucs and Chiefs. I'm thinking the best game of the weekend will be the Chiefs/Bills and my major upset is the Bucs knocking off the Lions. Since my team is out I'm here for all of the chaos. In case you were wondering, Jose still stands by "I still don't give a fuck." Who do you think wins the games? Let me know in the comments. Cheers and FOOTBALL!!
