FSU 2024 Football Preview: Noles Revenge Tour

Updated: Aug 21

The best time of the year is upon us. August is here and that means it is time for football. FSU is coming off an undefeated 13-0 season and an ACC Championship. A great season but plenty of fans are still pissed after the infamous CFP snub. We will never forget it and I’m sure this team is using that as plenty of motivation. I know Mike is gonna have those boys ready for the season.

Here is my quick breakdown of the 2024 season. I will post all of my predictions on this blog and like we have done the past few years, I will post the crew’s picks on social media (send me a DM on Twitter/X if you want your prediction to be included!) Enjoy a new hype video from our boy JP!

Game 1: Georgia Tech (8/24/24 in Dublin)

FSU is kicking off their season overseas as they host Georgia Tech during Week 0 of the CFB season. These teams last met back in Tallahassee in 2022. The Noles are 6-4 in their last 10 meetings against the Yellow Jackets and I’m hoping to see our offense light it up early. I think this one has FSU pulling away in the second half. Strong start for the Noles.

FSU wins 34-17.

Game 2: Boston College (9/2/24)

FSU is back in primetime on Labor Day night as they host Boston College. The Noles are on a five game winning streak against BC but last year’s game was ugly and one of the scares of the season and we escaped with a win. I think it will be a different story in Tallahassee.

FSU wins 27-13.

Game 3: Memphis (9/14/24)

The Noles are back in Doak and are playing Memphis for the first time since 1990. FSU has an all-time record of 10-7-1 against the Tigers. It will also be the first time that Coach Norvell is going up against his former team. This one could be interesting for a bit but I think this could be a big game for DJ. I’m calling it now. At least 3 TD passes. FSU wins 34-21.

Game 4: California (9/21/24)

The Noles continue their “September at Doak” tour with a matchup for the first time ever against California. Still an interesting choice bringing California to the ACC but that’s not the point here. FSU is feeling good after starting 3-0 and they continue to roll against California who went 6-7 last year. I think this is another good game for DJ and we will wear them out running the football. FSU wins 41-17.

Game 5: @ SMU (9/28/24)

The first true road game of the season as the Noles head to Texas to play SMU where if my records are correct, this would be the first meeting between the two teams. I know that SMU is hyped to host this game and would love to pull a major upset. I don’t see that happening. SMU went 11-3 last year and they will be hyped up but I see the Noles settling down and taking control in the second half. FSU wins 31-21.

Game 6: Clemson (10/5/24)

FSU opens up the month of October hosting Clemson. FSU snapped a 7 game losing streak to Clemson last year in OT after one of my favorite plays of the year. I’m going to hopefully be at this game and while I have the Noles currently undefeated, I just have a feeling they will lose this one. I hope I’m wrong but I think the first L of the season happens against stupid Dabo and Clemson. FSU loses 24-17.

Game 7: @ Duke (10/18/24)

After a bye week, FSU is back in action on a Friday night game in Durham. The Noles struggled early last year against Duke but shutout the Blue Devils in the second half to improve to a perfect 22-0 all-time against Duke. I think the Noles improve to 23-0 all-time and have a fairly convincing win. FSU wins 38-14.

Game 8: @ Miami (10/26/24)

The best early birthday present FSU could give me would be getting another win against Miami and making it four in a row. There has been plenty of preseason hype for Miami (yet again) but I think we are going to 100% crush their spirits if they haven’t already given up by this point of the season. It is now and always FMFFM. FSU wins 27-13.

Game 9: North Carolina (11/2/24)

This hopefully should be a gorgeous game at Doak in early November with the Tar Heels coming to town. The last meeting was back in 2021 with the Noles winning 35-25. Actually watched that game with Chaser at Brass Tap. I think at this point the Noles are rolling and keep our winning ways going to begin the final month of the season. FSU wins 34-24.

Game 10: @ Notre Dame (11/9/24)

The Noles head to South Bend for the first time since 2020 and it wasn’t pretty last time. FSU is currently on a three game losing streak to the Irish. I was at the 2021 game where we came back and lost in OT. I have plenty of Irish fans and would love to talk shit but unfortunately I have the Noles losing here. I think they will struggle in this game and they leave South Bend with their second loss of the season. FSU loses 24-21.

Game 11: Charleston Southern (11/23/24)

FSU has one more bye week before hosting Charleston Southern. FSU is 2-0 all-time against them and has outscored them 114-18. I think this will be an easy day at the office and should see plenty of playing time for the backups and the seniors. FSU wins big 61-10.

Game 12: Florida (11/30/24)

The Sunshine Showdown wraps up the season after Thanksgiving as the Noles host the Gators for the 66th game in the series. Noles have won the last two meetings and look to make it three straight and would even the all-time record of games played at Doak. Last year’s game was interesting with no JT but the Noles found a way to get it done. I think this year we dominate and it’s another party in Tallahassee as we dispose of that team from down south. FSU wins 27-13.

I am predicting that FSU will go 10-2 (7-1) in the ACC and will most definitely make the CFP playoffs this year. I also think even at 10-2 they would be able to win the ACC Championship. Many people believe the conspiracies but I think if FSU can take care of business they can make it to the CFP. #NolesRevengeTour is only days away!

How do you think FSU does this season? Let me know in the comments. Cheers and GO NOLES!!
